Extremely happy with the seat heat kit and covers. Need extra tape for heating pads (over old cloth seats) and the covers are a little time consuming. I put in dryer on low heat for 10 min - helped.

Looks nice. Good job.

I could use this heat kit:
"which can create warming effect within 1-460 minutes. It is a good life companion, if you drive during cold season, even a rescuer, if one is in traffic jam. Without waiting for the air conditioning long, one can feel warm with the seat heating faster. Time and money saving! Practically! Features: Brand new and high quality. "

It’s warm in less than 5. The fuse works with remote start too. 3rd one up from the bottom on left side of the panel under the steering wheel. It has a 5amp in it. Micro jumper is like $5

Really nice Install. I have a 24 base 4-door with wash-out everything. Happy with the seats but do wish I had heated seats, turn signals in the mirror, the capable bumper and the stock Aux switch panel!!!

What are your base seats? Do you think there are any issues with the heating elements put on top of them and under the seat covers? Just thinking if too much heat on the seat and back might discolor or damage them....

Are those the stock seat covers?
Any pics of the heat elements on the seats before the seat covers went on?
How were they fastened?
Can you feel them through the covers?

I wonder about long-term discoloration of the original seat material underneath due to the heating element....

You can find these kits on ebay for much cheaper. I installed these on some Beard suspension seats about 10 years ago. Removed the factory covers and installed underneath. Worked great and easy install.

Nice....I'm in the process of doing this. I attached the elements to the seat covers and installed them. I haven't wired them up yet. I just keep pushing it off. Guess I dread drilling into the center console.

I assume you just popped the top of the shifter console up to connect everything and run the wires to the fuse box.

  • The seat covers are a standard out of the box option from Amazon - link is in the post
  • The original seats were black and grey cloth
  • The heating elements have double sided tape and I added duct tape around the edges
  • The seat covers are tedious but easy - if you go to the amazon product link there is a video but basically the backs have a side zipper and slide over and tie in with some straps. The seat bottoms slide on and have straps and bands underneath too
  • You can feel the heat, even on low setting.

Did not have to pop the shifter console. Pry out the window switch, there is a ton of room in there. If you push seats forwards, you can easily pry up the bottom rear of the center console down by the floor and use your hand to push connectors trough and connect under the seat. For power, I came of the panel under dash and simply worked across under the dash and you can just use your fingers to push under center console and then up into the cavity where window switches go.

drilling the console was stressful. The switches were about 3/4". I used a step drill and went to 13/16 and then used a dremel to take some raised areas of the switch barrel (it is keyed). I used a metal rule to go up 9.5mm from the bottom and 2.5cm from edge of the hole where window switches go towards the doors.

I went a slightly different route this week and used one of those heated massage pads you put on top of chairs, cut it in half and put it under my seat covers lol
