I’m not very familiar with how things get reported to carfax.They are not going to give you a new vehicle. You can attempt to do a buyback through Ford but that will take several weeks for approval. And buybacks are usually reserved for major issues and those they can't figure out.
I get it, it sucks that your brand new Bronco is in the shop at only 600 miles, but replacing a lifter is not that big of a deal and I would surprised if they swapped out the engine as the fix.
As far as showing up on a Carfax or harming resale value, I am unsure. Maybe @Ducati1098 can shine some light on how this type of warranty work gets reported.
However IMO, repairs don’t affect resale value.
I’m not sure why some get overly concerned about a simple repair. Have it fixed and move on. It’ll probably be perfectly fine. And if it’s not, deal with it then
