I have a feeling it has something to do with the seals on the rear top or that they need to be matched together in production.

An industry term for non bulb seals... muckit's and there's a whole lot of them.

A few images of the top off and where the seals are overlapped on the rear top.

Makes me think if these were shimmed another 4-5mm you could get the compression you need.

Another earlier thread showed that some of the levers have washers on the center shoulder bolt and some don’t. Washers under this lever bolt near the threads would have same effect as not pulling down enough…

What's with the brillo pad? I don't remember seeing that when I popped my panel.
😀 I know, right. The dealership recently did a seal replacement for the leak. I should take a look at that again. Its probably leftover packing material.

Mine has it. I can shine a flashlight in that area from outside and see light inside.

My 2dr has the same alignment issues as everyone else. My dealer has done all the adjustments they can. Theres a TSB for the front center latches but that pulls the front down which only makes the rear worse. My biggest complaint with mine that they cant seem to figure out is horrible wind noise. I can feel air coming in between the seals above the passenger seat. I dunno why they cant put a new seal on it..
