I am looking to buy a Brono next May and can't decide between 2 door or 4 door. I want to get a 2 door. I have 2 kids which one has his own car and my current car can go to my daughter next year when she gets a license. Since I won't be carting kids around as much I figure a 2 door is the way to go. I also think the 2 door is sporty and more fun to drive. My wife ( who drives and F-150) thinks a 4 door is the way to go since it has way more cargo and it's easier for passengers to get in to. I ask you all what your opinions are and what your experiences with owning 2 vs 4 door.

If you expect to carry a lot of passengers and cargo, get the 4 door. If it'll mainly be you, your wife, in a couple things, get the 2 door.

Aside from practicality, I have heard that the 4 door rides a little better because of the longer wheel base and it's marginally quieter, but I've never been able to directly compare.

Wheel base difference is only 16" personally I think the 4 door maneuvers nice for a 4 door, but I have been used to 4 door pick ups.
Its handy to have a door to get access to the back seat even if just groceries.

I have a 2 door. My youngest two are 13 and 10. They fit just fine when they ride with me. My wife has the 3 row family hauler.
The 2 door is so much more enjoyable to drive. It’s quick and nimble. Easy to park. Weighs less.
The 4 door Bronco wagon is great for those who haul around kids and need more storage room. I didn’t think a 2 door would work for me and family. But it does just fine. Looks better too.

A friend of mine from our local club pointed that out to me some 20 years ago looking at my 4-door XJ and he had his 69 Bronco & an 4-door XJ 🤠

I had a blazer in the 80's, the things you notice and appreciate when you grow older.

Only buy a two door Bronco. If you need more practicality, get something else.

Lots of guys on here struggle to drive a mid-size SUV, your wife will be fine.

I can’t even imagine someone getting into the back seat of a 2 door with Sasquatch without having to buy steps…

and even then.

Two door was never an option. Not enough cargo space.

Nearing 80 and have only had 2 doors (did settle for a 2005 f150 “standard cab” that had two little extra doors, I guess to get behind the seat for some reason)…if ya need more get a mini van, I hear dodge has a nice one…more worms…

I had a K5 Blazer back in the 90s. 33s with a three inch lift. I enjoyed taking the cap off in the summer.

Having now owned 5 6g broncos… 2 4 door and 3 2 door, I can say the following
1. 2 door is definitely more fun to drive. Shorter turning radius and just feels sportier on the road
2. 2 door looks much more “correct”
3. If you only occasionally anticipate rear passengers, 2 door will do the trick. When you do have rear passengers, they will have a time getting back there but once in the seat there is plenty of leg room
4. If you off-road alot, both have their pluses and minuses but I prefer the agility of the 2 door. Having come from a 2 door Wrangler, I can say the 2 door Bronco feels a lot more planted in many situations vs the Wrangler
5. If you camp/Overland a lot, the 4 door is the clear winner for obvious reasons, but I can get all my gear in a 2 door just fine.
6. There will be times where your 2 door just doesn’t have the room to carry something that the 4 door wouldn’t have a problem with, but that’s what your “other” vehicle is for.
7. At the end of the day I just kept coming back to the 2 door. I currently have one of each, but the 4 door will eventually be sold. Below are my current rigs.
8. If you like to modify your rig, the 4 door has a lot more aftermarket support for the areas that differ, but it only makes sense based on the sales mix.
