I took my 2025 Badlands in today for the Instrument Cluster recall and also had them look at a Random Misfire CEL code that popped up (and cleared within a couple of days) and according to my dealer Ford is working on a software update to correct this which is exactly the same response as I have seen from some owners on the Bronco FB community. I guess the question I have is if these warnings are bunk and the new software will correct false misfire annunciation (no big deal) or is there an issue with the software causing actual misfires (kind of concerning). I have only had this once but some people are reporting that it comes back so just trying to figure out what's going on here as who knows when this software update will be available.

Below is the actual bulletin from Ford. Looks like Q2 before an update is available.

Some 2025 Bronco/Ranger vehicles equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with only diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0300 and P0316 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This condition occurs after initial engine start up following an overnight cold soak or short cold soak (2-3 hours). This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis is required for this condition at this time. The replacement of components or reprogramming of modules will not resolve this condition. Clear the DTCs and return the vehicle to the customer. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in Q2 2026. Continue to monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.

I am also experiencing this issue. Started when my new 2025 Bronco had under 500 miles on it. Dealership replaced spark plug on cylinder 1, two weeks later and check engine light came back on. Previous TSB called for plug and coil replacement. Found the new TSB yesterday indicating they are working on a fix.
Curious if it will be a software fix or mechanical.
Guessing there is probably quite a few people experiencing the same issue. Other thought is if the issue is related to the change to direct and port injection in the 2025 engine.

The new 2.3L engine was in the Mustang and Explorer a year before the Bronco so it sounds like it's a programming issue with Broncos and Rangers and not hardware related.

Thank you for this, I’m currently getting mine looked at for the same thing and my annual service. I’d like to hope a “known issue” means they’re not going to try and charge me the diagnostic fee. 25 with 22,500kms

Hopefully the fix is on the horizon as we are about to get into 2nd quarter. My CEL comes up randomly every two months or so before clearing.
