4dr skids install

I’m trying to install my skid set, and can’t get the front and rear gas tank skids to slide together. It seems like the lip on the rear skid is too wide to slot into the front one. Has anyone else installed these and had to deal with this, or am I doing something wrong? Also I’m pretty sure the front diff skid is hitting the fdu.
