Who doesn't like going topless!

We have been working on a few different rack systems for the Bronco. The Soft-Topless is my favorite, The roof rack for the person that wants a rack they can hide away when not in use. The roof rails are prefect for a rack there is not much room between the rails and the soft top but we managed to stuff a solid .250" 5052 Aluminum L rail system with up to nine laser cut 1.5"x1.5"x.125" 6061 T6 aluminum cross bars for mounting/tying down.
Rooftop tent in the summer, 4x8 sheets of ply wood, Bikes, kayak/small boat to the beach you name it with dozens of mounting holes and slots just about anything could be attached to it.

About 41lbs with all cross bars it's light super low profile and solid.
Rails 7lbs each
Cross bars 3lbs each

We know not everyone wants a full rack with 9 cross bars blocking that open view and aluminum is not cheap so they are sold as a whole rack or just the rails with a few cross bars for those that want two or three bars only.

Orders can be placed at the link below

Looks amazing. Im just wondering What happens in a crash if the passengers hit their heads on the rack and can you only use it with the soft top down?

You would have to not be belted in or the cage would have to crush to hit your head on the bars or be extremely tall there is 6" clear from the head rest with the seat all the way up to the top point in the front seat . I jumped around in the cab with no seat belt on and never came close to them.

There is only a inch or so clearance from the soft top to the top pf the cross bars so you could have traction boards or something thin up there all the times but for the most part this is a topless rack.

That is slick for people with a soft top, I am a little jealous. Definitely could see some lumber runs with that rack. Nice work.

I'm ready to see the guys face at Home Depot when I ask for help loading lumber and walk up to a convertible bronco.

We have another version for the hard top owners with 11 cross bars. the side rails are a little different on the hard top version. it's a topless rack only meaning you can't install the hard top over it.

interested, awesome setup,

I assume no-drill is that correct?

are the crossbars moveable (looks like they are bolted on)

also what is the weight capacity (dynamic and static if possible)?

I signed up for interest on the site with 2 crossbars

No drill install, NOTE Countersinking some of the soft top bars in recommended but no drilling into the bronco it threads into the threaded holes on the cage. the bars are bolted in place and can be placed in any of the slots on the side rails.
The load rating is 100lbs Dynamic per cross bar installed evenly distributed. I'm sure you can haul more as one single cross bar tested with a 250lb load static pressing in the center only deflected .25" but I don't think I would want to run 900lbs to 1000lbs that high up too often.

Wonderful idea!

Yep we know its Niche market for this but the niche is high with lots of people running topless all the time. And the rack can be Removed pretty quickly so removing it for the winter months or tossing the hard top back on only takes a few minutes.

perfect, that is way more than enough for my intended use....light RTT (~100lbs), surf boards, etc...
