It’s all perspective. We can worry that the lost builds will turn out to be problematic or tell ourselves that the builds were held back due to effective QC process which would avoid future issues. Either way, definitely frustrating and I can understand why the second thoughts!I feel like you all are my friends and would understand this better than most. Like many others, this Bronco was going to be my daily driver. My daily commute is 10 miles each way. This will be our 3rd vehicle (current DD will become the family ride and my wife will keep hers as her DD). My commute is likely to expand to 40 miles each way. With all the delays Ford is having and the complete lack of transparency, I am having doubts about either when it will arrive, and what condition it truly is internally. Is it being held over for a bad roof? Water damage from the flooding and storms the weekend prior when our rigs were all on the assembly line? Chip issue? Body/structural damage? I'm worried this is a lemon waiting to happen. My potential solution is to give up on this build and push for a new Maverick instead. My dealer doesn't charge dealer or ADM fees so they are not likely to turn a huge profit on this. I will also submit a new order for a Bronco that I know won't be built until 2022 or 2023, unless I can get Ford to re-activate an old reservation. Is anyone else having doubts about their lost build too?
Ford needs to be more open and honest and tell us what is going on with our trucks. None of this BS with customer service can't tell us nothing, the dealer has no idea why. How can there be a situation where absolutely no one knows when it comes to tracking 50k+ vehicles, someone somewhere knows and needs to talk. It’s all perspective.
