Don't forget, Webasto makes the soft tops also, so there could be quality issues there as well.
My only other option is to start a new order and maybe wait until MY23 or MY24. It's a lose lose situation for customers who not long ago felt like they won golden tickets.
Agreed..I feel like my ticket was brown...And made of :poop:

They need to NOT build any more vehicles with MIC, until ours are all fixed and shipped. That is the fair and honest thing to do.
They kinda have no choice. They need to get all the FE's built this year, with a month of production left. They can still ship ours and sell them next year at a markup, but the FE's have to all go out this year. They quite literally don't have materials to do both. This is why the lack of communication from Ford. There's no way to say this without making things worse, so better to just sit tight and try and forget that there are thousands of people out there who are waiting for these vehicles.

They have choices....They just don't want to choose one that costs THEM money.
Let me take my ALREADY BUILT Bronco now...Replace the top later.
FFS.

If they deliver a vehicle that they know has a bad roof they will be vulnerable to lawsuites and liable for any damaged that's caused to the vehicle from that bad roof. I agree with you, it's just unfortunate that this is the way things work.

That would be preferable to waiting another 6 months for a vehicle that's been built for almost two months already.

That's what a liability waiver is for.
They have lawyers...Let them draft this instead of worrying about blowback from the ongoing shitshow.

If faced with prospect of being offered your MY21 Bronco in October or being allowed to order a new MY22 Bronco with assurance #badbatchbronco owners get built first, which would you chose? I think I’d take MY22

I don't trust Ford enough to be able to do either.

Maybe the FE owners sitting in limbo will be given the original painted top by the time any more ship...obviously that's wishful thinking but at this point I'm about ready to put a for sale sign on the thing when I take delivery because I will have already purchased something else...I can only wait so long, we only have 1 vehicle right now.

Not what people want to hear, but it's reality

It was super shortsighted of ford to offer only a MIC top on two door orders. Hell, give me a soft top and ship my vehicle. I’ll sort a hard top later at this point.
Agree 100%

They have to do something, cause going by their production reports for July, it's almost half of all they produced are still sitting there. I have no faith in them offering a plausible and acceptable solution though. After all the crap I've caught from my friends all my life for being a Ford guy, maybe I deserved it!

Someone please correct me, but I thought the actual model year changeover for the Bronco was in December. The order banks open in Sept and scheduling for ‘22 starts shortly after, which fits with VINs being assigned roughly 60 days prior to build dates. Ford still has ample time to make the rest of the FE. Let’s assume there are 10k total FE to be built between 2dr and 4dr. At 4-500 per day, that’s only 25 days of work, if they can keep the lines running.
So Ford, slow down the lines to kick ours out dammit!!!
