Now the question is, would you take 32's in that surrounding area? I wouldn't think of it, plus I doubt the owner aired down but I can't tell.

the only off-roading we have is on soft deep ocean beach sand and people have been driving on it for 100 years. 32s are more than enough, but you MUST air down to below 20 psi, preferably 15-18.

I’ve taken 32s out to Sand Hollow before in a 1989 Bronco. Didn’t have any major issues.

It’s just about knowing the vehicle and its limits, as well as the limits of you as a driver. The Bronco is still a relatively new vehicle and it is introducing a lot people to off-roading for the first time. (Which is a good thing, in my opinion.) But that also means you’re going to run into a lot of people that accidentally got in over their heads (been there, done that).

Traction control is what kills most people in sand/snow. If you have traction control turned on and you are stuck… you’re going no where. And if you are new to off-roading that’s very counter intuitive.

I could have driven that out after 15 minutes with a shovel. Like others said they needed to air down and put some physical work in.

I used to drive a 2wd flatbed chevy on sand all the time. You just have to air down way more than people think.

Exactly, the original comment didn't say to have an anchor and winch. Just to have a winch in sand and not be solo.
