I was in town the other day, and made several stops at businesses. On at least three occasions, the ASS was deactivated(OFF was illuminated) after starting without manually depressing the button on my 24 /BD/ 2.7/ auto/ 1500 miles. Any ideas about what is going on?

Yes, I was running in Sport mode, not running AC, hard to say if battery was low the way the 'voltmeter'/ charging system is set up on these vehicles. Probably/ hopefully not a bad battery with only 1500 miles and 9 months old.

Sport mode disables auto start stop.
