Long story short, I got badlands as I wanted mid+stick, but unfortunately it also comes with Co-pilot.

Might already have the answer with Forscan, just disable a lot of the crap, but afterwards it's taking the little black box sandwiched between the intercooler and removing it, or just getting a different bumper without it and the cameras. Just wondering if there's anyone out there who's working on a solution that doesn't include either or one or the other.

Thanks in advance

Within the Bronco menu settings you should just be able to turn off the acc and set cruise to normal. This is how it is on my F150. However, I think there are other systems such as crash alert that rely on that radar and I don't know if those are able to be disabled.

I actually had my BL in the garage today and pulled off that little plastic cover. This is a high package so no acc. However, behind the cover was a larger piece of molded plastic and behind that was a wire harness and maybe a module plugged into it. Not sure how much the lux package will differ or if the radar will screw onto the plastic housing below.

Note that the piece of plastic above is one larger molded piece that includes the housing for the shutters.

Edit. Reread your post and see you are a mid package so no acc. However, everything still applies and what you see is what you will be getting in your BL.

Mid package doesn't include the ACC. Have to step up to lux to get the ACC.

Is automatic emergency braking radar or camera based. I know on most cars it uses a camera at the rear view mirror. I don't believe the adaptive cruise control radar system impacts AEB.

Lucky for you I don't have much going on today. This took less than 10 minutes to strip down. Large plastic House does not contain any sensors. Just the servo motors for the shutters. So this can definitely be discarded on packages from high on down without reason for concern.

Also, these pigtails are right where the fog lights are on other models so I think all models have wirings for fogs and maybe we can just swap out our main switch. @flip do you have a part number for the light switch that contains the fog light's?

Looks like the fog light connectors according to the wiring diagrams. However, you would also have to program the BCM to accept the input from the other headlamp switch. It is ultimately the BCM that controls those lights, not the switch itself.

I'm sure there will be plenty of upgrades for the intercoolers. Here is one for the Ranger 2.3L

The manual says that AEB uses the safety camera, but it also uses radar if equiped.

I would buy the LUX package if I knew for sure that the radar features could be disabled (ACC/EvasiveSteer/AEB+). Even better if Ford makes the radar features a separate package from LUX for MY2022.

You spent all that money on Lux to get....? An extra USB plug and wireless charger? Lol
