Greetings,
I am starting my place here for a build.
Having just received my Window Sticker, it shows status as in production.
Lets begin with the fact that I had to make concessions (after waiting approx 600 days) to even get to this point. What was a WildTrak with MIC, Lux & SAS is now a Badlands with none of those features. I told the dealership he needed to check every option box on my order. In October 2021 the anticipated cost was $59,973 (I have that in writing btw). The window sticker for the 23 Badlands is the same. So no Hard Top, No Lux package (radio and Universal Garage Door Opener) and no factory 35" tires on beadlock wheels, No tow package. I gave up a lot of stuff and the retail price is the same.
I have price protection and I have the $2,500 credit for having modified my WildTrak to a Badlands. Let's see how all of that plays out.
Immediate procurement will be GoRhino E1 electric running boards. Hardtop (I'm open to suggestions from the forum) where I should hunt this down. I want a good top and I doubt it will ever come off. Cost is less important than quality and I want it immediately. A friend will be doing paint correction and sealant + PPF. Another friend will be doing a sound system to correct what I got stuck with from Ford up to a better quality.
Sound system equipment: JL Audio HD-RLC, XD800/8, XD600/1, Focal 100 (center channel), Focal 165AC3 Mid Base, Focal 100 AC in dash, Stinger Tail gate sub box and a few other goodies.
Since my wife will be the primary driver I am ok with not getting the SAS. Not getting the hard top and the Lux has me fairly pissed off.
I've been reading along on the Forum for a bit. Looking forward to contributing.
