Howdy all,

Can I get a sense of what a reasonable private party sale of my Bronco ought to be worth? This is the for sale write up (https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...ience-2dr-v6-beauty-with-so-much-more.138007/) - ignore the price and please tell me what you think I ought to expect for this. I have been getting mixed feedback and don't really know what to think. It's a build to order 2 door V6, which Ford doesn't offer affordably anymore, and it's got next to no miles.

You probably already know this, but, don’t expect to get higher numbers because of aftermarket goodies and mods. That vehicle as you described has a 41-44k value. Somebody may be looking for the exact same trim/set up you have and likes the mods you’ve done and you may be able to get higher offers, but honestly I’d say around 43k is about the value.

From a Chevy dealership for $45k out the door. The guy buys a new toy every few year has the dealership install all kinds of goodies then trades it In on the next toy he left with a loaded suburban

As @Dan-O mentioned, don't count on trying to recoup the aftermarket accessories full value. There might be a buyer at the end of the rainbow that wants exactly what you have done and is willing to compensate you for them, but you'll be waiting. The stereo upgrade is the most valuable though you likely be better served to return to stock and sell those components separately.

I don't want to sound harsh so take my comment as objective criticism. Yes, the 2-dr 2.7L is extremely limited from ordering for current MY Broncos. But they aren't a "unicorn". The low miles are a plus, but you are long out the factory warranty - though still retain the powertrain warranty. Whether sellers want to admit it, there is value to a vehicle still under the factory warranty. Outside of that factory warranty, then the value will take a hit. Adding an extended warranty after the factory warranty has expired is much more expensive than if it was added when new. The extended warranty transfers to new owners and is much more valuable than all the accessories.

With that in mind, the biggest omission in your Bronco is not optioning the rear locker which comes with 4.27 gearing and 4A transfer case. The 3.73 open rear differential and part-time transfer case is not ideal.

Also, your wheel's offset pushed you into getting the Sasquatch flares eliminating the painted flares that your Bronco came with. If you still have them, include them in your listing.

I would guess that Carvana's offer will be in the high 30's which is what a dealer will pay for a trade-in. You might reasonably get low 40's via private sale. Doesn't hurt to ask $50k, but I doubt you'll get any offers. Better to target $45k and be amenable to offers.

Last year insurance gave us 44K for our '22, 2 door, V6, Velocity Blue Badlands with 33K miles in absolute mint condition. All the comps I did back then said that was a fair number at the time. I'd say yours now is around 35-38 if you can get the right buyer. And that will be tough with no SAS, lockers, or Advanced 4x4. 50K is over the top for that vehicle, if it's not selling it's priced too high. Many private purchasers aren't going to have 50K laying around and the bank will not give that much for what is now soon to be a 5 year old used vehicle.

Aftermarket stuff can help or hurt depending on what the specific buyer is looking for, they may not want to spend the extra money on stuff they don't like or won't use or may not have been installed properly by a shade tree mechanic (not saying that's you but the perception can be there for a discerning buyer).

Best of luck with your sale. We cried a river when we lost our beloved 2 door, v6, VB BL. We could only replace it with a 2.3 and that made us even more sad.

Agree with many of the comments. Price is a little on the high side and too close to new or certified used prices. To get an idea of what high range prices are I like to do a search on Fords Certified used site. There are plenty of used Broncos in western Washington or within 200 miles of central Puget Sound.

I would think a fair price would be in the low to mid $40's, one thing to think about is mods do not add value equal to what they cost. For example is you spend $4K on tire and wheel package it does not add $4K in value to the car as value prior to swapping the wheels/tires included wheels and tires.

One other note for comparison, you can get a new '26 Badlands, VB, 2 door for $54K (MSRP, not sure what you could it for from dealer inventory), no v6 obviously, but that's what you're up against.
