Just to confirm, it's a plastic bumper?
Yes, the standard OBX front bumper is plastic. The heavy duty modular bumper option is steel. But, as reported somewhere, even when you upgrade an OBX to the modular bumper for the front, the rear bumper always will be plastic. You only get the steel rear bumper when you buy Black Diamond or Badlands (or probably First Edition).

Has this been confirmed? Because the Ford site clearly states (when you click on adding a front modular to an Outer Banks) that the rear bumper is steel. Is that a mistake on the site? Not that I'd be shocked by a mistake on the website...just looking for something official.

Will have to see if others can confirm. On build and price it only says “front bumper”, but there are plenty of contradictions between B&P and other materials.

Can confirm. I’m borrowing a dealer OB 2DR right now. Front bumper is steel. Rear is plastic shit. Stepped on the corner to look at the roof rails and it bent down.
