Most dealers suck in general and aren't well versed on the product they sell. Just well versed in selling anything they can....
With the bronco you also have to factor in how bad ordering is in general with delays on top of delays.
You also have to think from the perspective of a car salesman. You think they want to devote extra time and attention to a vehicle sale that probably won't happen for at least 6 months to a year? They're more concerned with the current shortage of new vehicles, selling and buying used vehicles to makeup that shortage, and just basically staying afloat.

Side note, I'm working with the 4th different "bronco specialist" from my dealer....

These designations are a JOKE.
I don't understand why Ford even mentioned them as part of the process if they weren't going to make sure dealers actually had bronco specialists. I've yet to have a bronco specialist know more than "the bronco is back"

No salesperson is going to have access to the information you are seeking. Hell even most sales managers wont have access to the order banks at the dealership. That is one of the issues. Also, like stated above, sales people only get paid to sell a car today not in a year or 6 months so they are not as inclined to track down that information.

If you want answers you need to try and get in contact with either a sales manger or inventory manager ( the person who actually processed the order in the Ford system) They will have the ability to tell you about status codes, what place in their line you are etc.

I am not sure as I only get vague PR type responses as though they just got videotaped dumping nuclear waste.

Me: What spot am I in the allocations?
Dealer: As a valued customer we appreciate your patience and understanding during this reservation process. We are working hard to better inform you on all aspects of your order and any possible delivery possibilities.
Me: What are the chances I can move up in line if I drop certain commodity restrained items?
Dealer: Your order is one of many and the production process is always adjusting to allow for quick execution and ample supplies. Ford is committed to providing you with the best products and services available in the market and we strive to keep our customers happy.
Me: Is my Bronco even real?
Dealer: Ford is committed to producing a top tier product and the implementation of that process involves creating a balance between efficiency and cost-effectiveness thereby allowing for a slight delay in our delivery of a very minuscule batch of Ford vehicles.
