Here’s why the Ass button is in the radio control area. Start the Bronco, grab the auto trans selector, (probably true about MT too) and stick out your finger. Muscle memory. Or at least finger memory.

Look at this guy publicly touching ASS. Get a room!

All buttons should act like their analog buttons; once they are set they stay that way.
Like the Volume and Fan buttons do.
Don't override my choice.

The problem with the headlights is that with the electroluminescent and digital dash’s, clueless drivers forget to turn on their headlights when it gets dark and are driving around with DRL’s at night.

you're not wrong. Behind every feature that does something for you, is an idiot that inspired it needing to be done. I see morons driving around all the time with only their DRL on and no taillights.

There sure are a lot of ASS APOLOGISTS on this forum!
It's just the usual vocal minority spreading misinformation

Ahem...

Literally 3 minute install. The biggest pain is getting down under your dash to plug it in. $50 and you'll never hit that button again.
How do these sorts of models work - plug into your OBD port and "replace" it with the supplied extension (that you have to fix on under dash with adhesive)? Despite all the pictures and words on the site, it still is ambiguous.

It is optional.

it's actually SO optional that they give you a convenient little button to turn it off whenever you feel like 🙂
I didn't like it so I bought the cable to override it. I can still turn it on if I wanted to. My wife has a B-Sport and she doesn't even notice it's on. If i drive her car, I just give the wheel a short jerk left or right and it turn off, easy peasy. Yes I just said that!

That is called an ASS jerk off

That's an accurate technical statement and in no way meant to be sarcastic or otherwise a criticism of governments, manufactures, movements, or individuals...

The ASS module is just a box under the dash by the OBDII port. The box I linked just gets plugged into it between the factory harness and the box. It interrupts it. There's enough slack that the module can just be placed in a pocket thats literally right there. Its about as simple as can be.

All it really does is store the last setting even if the rig it turned off. So you turn it off once and it stays off.

It really is worth the $50.

Oh Lord: the pinch welds! Cover them up, for crying out loud. Keeps me up at nights...
I find it silly that some 6G owners gripe about such insignificant things.

It's a first-world problem. Some people, such as yourself, obviously, have transcended to a higher plane and can therefore see beyond the nonsense. Me thinks they're just ugly, but I face down the desire to do anything about it each and every day.

Has ford ever removed or added a feature after selling the vehicle?
