Looking for some help…

i am trying to confirm the amperage for the aux switches. Specifically switches 4, 5 and 6.. I have seen conflicting diagrams. One diagram that Looks like it’s out of a Ford document shows that they are 10 amps. Another show that they are 5 amps.

i haven’t seen conflicts for 1,2 and 3.

There is a lot of conflicting information for this.
The best way to know is to check your fuse box. They should be 10 amp

Ok. I did find a post that states that the fuses have been upgraded to 10A for 4.5 and 6.

is this everyone’s understanding?

Also if I stay under the amp rating g I assume a relay is not needed. Correct?

Correct to both. I believe it was updated at some point to 10 amp before production. A lot of Ford’s information is still incorrect though

That’s where it gets conflicting.
While I agree that it’s 10 amp, here is Ford’s official wiring diagram lol
Not sure why it’s so hard for them to fix this stuff after 4 years 🤦🏻‍♂️

Upgrading the fuse but not the wiring it services is dangerous. I’ve read several posts that seem to say the gauge of the wires are too small esp if you are close to maxing out the fuse rating. To play it safe I added my own relay and heavier gauge wires to the lights I installed.

I would never just upgrade the fuse. I’m just wanting to stay under the rated amperage.
