Stiffer spring rate means the piston head in the shock will be riding higher in the bore at normal load

For the valving to work correctly you wouldn't want to be bumping the unloaded end stop valving

Just a question and yes they could have changed the valving in the piston which would answer the bigger ? are they different

I had to draw it out...mostly for others to see.

Here are the advertised heights
Big Bend (on 32s) - 72.9"
Badlands (on 33s) - 73.9"
Wildtrak (which comes with sasquatch on 35s) - 75.4"

To provide a rough baseline - two tape measure dimensions that we have from supercel on the Badlands - 1. The rear flare was 40" above the ground, and 2. the bottom of the rock rail was 20" above the ground (using that for ground clearance, granted its obviously not the real ground clearance given the underside of the chasis, but its a good visual indicator of the height of the car).

I could then back into the distance from the top of the flare to the roof (73.9" badlands height per Ford less 40" = 33.9") to create a baseline, then apply that to the other models. Also, using the 20" to the rock rail, we could back into the visual clearance from the finished body to the ground. We could also see the dimension from the center of the wheel to the flare as an indicator of suspension.

Big Bend - 7" wheel gap / 19" ground clearance to the finished body / 23.0" from center of wheel to flare

Badlands - 7" wheel gap / 20" ground clearance to the finished body / 23.5" from center of wheel to flare

Wiltrak sasquatch - - 6.4" wheel gap / 21.4" ground clearance to the finished body / 23.9" from center of wheel to flare

Are these dimensions accurate, of course not. But given what we know the wheel height, and Ford's height of the overall car, the above gives us a good idea as to how the different models compare, as this is all relevant to each other.

The take away, is that Ford's published heights are a bit of a head scratcher when you factor in the wheel sizes. If the Big Bend height is accurate, then the Badlands should really be more than 1" higher, given the wheels are 1" bigger, and it sits on a similar suspension to the sasquatch. That's also evident when you compare the distance from the center of the wheel to the flare on the Badlands to Sasquach - they dont match, and they should. It feels like the Badlands should really be this:

74.4" high (not 73.9"), which would equate to 7.5" wheel gap, and 23.9" from center of wheel to flare. That to me makes much more sense, because the suspension would match that of the Wildtrak at 23.9", and the Badlands CLEARLY has more wheel gap than the other lower models on 32s at 7".
