Like many of us I scrapped the modular bumper constaint to help get a build date. Being stuck with the base bumper I wanted the higher tow points (BX2692) for my future hidden winch install. Some slight modifications with the cutting wheel and a multi tool and it is done.
Honestly I like ths base bumper over the modular and capable.

Looks good. Like the connector mount in the bumper. Had to use the bracket for mine with the modular bumper.

I have the same base plate set up on my capable bumper. I like it okay but it sucked losing the D-Rings. The other issue is how far the safety cable attachment points stick out (real knee bangers). If I had your mod, I’d cut the attachment points off and use the tow hooks for the safety cables. That would give you a nice, flush mounted set up. Definitely like your electrical connector mounting. Looks great.
