So I installed the 4WP rear bumper and love it... but I hate how the license plate is now mounted up by the tire. I am not sure if the 4WP one can be relocated to the tailgate, but I would like to have it out of the way. The two I see that look good are the DV8 and Turn Offroad brackets, which one would anyone recommend?

I'm interested as well. Looking for a bumper for our 4 door. I like the ADD Rockfighter rear bumper on our 2 door as it keeps the plate on the bumper, but I've have constant false alerts with the middle two sensors. Most other high clearance bumper options require plate relocation.

I have the TOR and like it, I choose it because the way it mounts.

Others that I've seen either use the Ford emblem as an attachment point or they use tire carrier mount.

I also have the TOR tire carrier which made an relocation using the tire carrier as an attachment point unusable.

Only complaint I have is the included light is crappy and should be more powerful.

Ah, I see how that attaches. I thought were using the spare tire mount fasteners. Thanks for that @jsoa. For the light, did you have run wires across the truck bumper the back across in the tailgate?

Yea, the picture doesn't show it as that picture was taken before I installed the light, but it routes through that notch you see, through the tailgate, to the trunk tray where your tire jack is, through a rubber grommet, then over to where the original light wires are. After that it requires you to cut off the original light and splice in the wires.

I added a quick disconnect near the bumper in the event I need to remove the bumper, and also added some foam padded to the bracket that rests on the underside of the tailgate.

OK. I was considering one of the DV8 bumpers with a LP mount on the bumper, but they stick out beyond the body. Pretty sure I'd mangle that on a tree as the Bronco is a tight squeeze on many of the trails here.

the bumpers I got are pretty tight, but they do stick out a little beyond the body, less so then the capable bumper. These also came with a LP mount that hooks up to the spare tire, but wasn't a fan.

I just saw this mount today at my local 4X4 shop (Billy Bob's Off-road). It's from Kentrol (made in China if that's a deal breaker) but it seems very sturdy. It clamps to a recovery point lug. You'd have to wire in a LP light, but it has holes for attaching a light. That might provide some flexibility.

How’d you run the wire? Through the gasket near the spare? I’m not a fan of how they run it in their video. It’s exposed under the tailgate. Come spring I’m redoing it.
