I would like them but not with the Goodyear tires. I live on gravel road and the factory flares are terribly dinged up along with lower door chips. Thats with mudflaps that were only about 4" off the ground. (I say were because someone just stole them while wife was grocery shopping).
I run Rokblokz XL longs and also have PPF on my doors - excellent investments.

Doesn’t save the fender flares, but I also view those as sacrificial parts since they aren’t painted and easily replaced.

Not a fan

Also 1st Gen flares were all either black or white so I'm pretty used to a non color matched look.

They look good painted, I too have an issue with the rounded area being so obvious tho. Been debating raptor fender swaps

The one thing I don’t like about the 6th gen is the round fender flares.
Rough Country now has some new ones that look more like the 1st gen.

I went with the KBD flares over a year ago and I still like them although the factory finish needs to be painted. Wish I would have painted mine. Still relatively happy that they are black and not faded.
Damn not for A51

For a while now I have been looking for pictures and information on the @Bestop Bronco fender flares and have only found minimal info. I know over the years there have been a few threads with them installed on peoples Broncos here on B6G but not much info on the quality and fitment of the flares. It has also been hard to find any photos of the fender flares paint matched and installed on the Bronco. I thought I would do a quick write up for anyone who has had interest in the Bestop fender flares and post some photos of them paint matched and installed.

As for the quality of the fender flares, they are very well made, solid and not flimsy at all. The install was straight forward and came with great directions to help you through the process. The install was not difficult, just a little time consuming. It is Definitely something that could be tackled on a weekend in a couple hours. The fender flares area attached to the fender with push pins which utilize the same holes that the OEM fenders use, clips in some areas and 3M two-sided tape. The fenders are very sturdy when installed and the fitment is perfect. The flares fit to the fender excellent with no gaps and mold to the contours of the fenders.

I like how the flares turned out and change the look of the OEM rounded fenders that came from the factory. My only dislike about the fender flares is I wish they stuck out a little more from the fender to cover more of the tire. The tires poke out quite a bit which you will see in the pictures. Other then that one issue I like the overall look and quality of the flares.

How much did it cost to paint them?

Since double sided tape has been used, there's no easy way to take on off at ease right? For instance if we wanted to put back the plastic fenders for when we hit the trails.

Thanks for your hard work!

I paid $350 to have them painted. As for removing the flares it would not be easy to switch out to the OEM fenders periodically. You would have to replace all the double sided tape.

I don’t understand the fender flares are flat. 😜

If those were stock, I'd be buying the round ones as replacements...

I think the painted flares look better on the Braptor compared to not.

On a regular Bronco, I do not dislike them, but I probably wouldn't go for them. It's odd, I used to always gravitate toward color matched everything (think Jeep Saharas with the painted flares and matched top). On Broncos, I'm not into that as much. In fact, I was spec-ing out a few builds and always ended up with the painted black top instead of color matched.

Anyway, I think those still look pretty good on yours. If someone said they'd do that for free to color match my flares on my FE, I probably wouldn't say no.

way less expensive. Also I believe there is more tire clearance with the flares because the are sitting higher on the fender whereas the Heritage Edition flares clip under the fender and sit lower.
Yes, it would be much less expensive to go this route, but no clearance was lost when switching to the Heritage fenders and flares, it is the same as stock. It's a Big Bend non-Sasquatch with 35x11.5 tires, no rub.

And yours looks awesome in person. They should have made a heritage in eruption green. But then again, when was the last time Ford did something that made sense.

Yea fits nice.

Here is my OuterBanks with 295 70 R18 (34’s).
The aftermarket flares give it another couple inches of tire clearance. I don’t have the room at my work garage to fit bigger tires or a lift.

There’s just a little bit of poke on the tires, but I’m OK with it and it passes safety check. Because of the stock wheels, the tires barely touch the sway bar and only under certain conditions.

Looks great. Do you still have the factory painted fender flares? I'd be interested in them if so. Thanks! Dave
