Bought used '22, how do I check if it has a particular software update???

Hello-

I recently purchased a used '22 Wildtrak 2.7L and I want to flat tow it behind my RV. I read about the flat tow problem with the 2.7L's braking system and how there was a software update that fixes this. I called my local ford dealer and they seemed clueless as to how to check to see if the software was updated or not. Is there a way to check? Am I just getting brushed off by the dealership? I have an OBDlink and Forscan if that helps.

you can check with the FordPass app or in the vehicle directly. No need for Forscan.

Sorry, to be clear, you should/can get the FordPass ap for your phone and set it up with your new WT. Only takes a few mins.
Once linked, tap "Vehicle" at the bottom of the screen, then Features and Settings, then software updates. Under recent changes, it should tell you when it was updated and what version.
