Tried to order the 37/13.50/17 Cooper at Sam's Club and they said they would not be able to install those because the load range is E and that is two away from the load range that the Bronco Raptor requires which is C. Where can I find the recommended or required load range for the Braptor? Anyone else run into this issue?

They have their 'rules' they must follow.

Load Range E is for a heavy truck and will likely ride like a Jeep... (LOL). Most of these sizes are in the D/E range to cover the biggest buying audience. There are alot of 'D' range ties in that size. Check them out on Discount Tire website.

In the Cooper the 37/12.5 is D and 37/13.5 is E

When I search for tires online at Costco it also only shows me C load tires. If I search by size then add vehicle after it won't let me go through with the purchase online. Not sure if in store they would let me or not.

Sorry- Meant that you would have to change brand to find something in a 'D'. Going heavier in a load rating should not be a problem, but again 'rules'. You could try a different tire store to see what they would allow. All the popular tires appear to be load range E (BFG, Toyo, Nitto, etc) and are bolted onto Jeeps everyday...

There are a couple 37x13.5R17 load range D tires:
Mickey Thompson Baja Legend MTZ
Toyo Open Country RT
Fury Country Hunter RT
Maxxis Razr MT
Nitto Recon Grappler

Slightly bigger- 38x13.5R17 Load range D
Patagonia MT
Nitto Trail Grappler

Oh ya, I am just going to go to Discount Tire and have them match Sams, just never heard of that "rule" before

Dumb related question; is a 13.5 width safe on the stock wheel and any risk of rubbing?

Just curious for when I inevitably have to replace my KO2s.

Not sure, I don't have stock wheels. But someone else may be able to answer that

Just looked it up. Stock wheel width is 8.5 inches. Generally 9 inches or more is recommended for a 13.5." So you can jam a 13.5" on the stock wheel but a lot of shops would probably refuse to mount it (plus it may not quite look right).

I’ve had Ko2s C, Falken At3w E, and now I am running MT Baja Boss D. I personally would NOT go back to load range E. The ride quality was meh, it was good for rock crawling because I was certain I wouldn’t slash the side walls. But the side wall was so freaking rigid it was terrible in any type of snow. I’ve been running Baja Boss for the past year and really like it!

Bunch of guys are running the Cooper STT Pro or BFG KM3 in a 37/13.50 and they are both E rated and haven't heard any complaints yet. No snow in Texas either:) They are also $100/tire less expensive than the KM3's and 10lbs per tire lighter than the Nitto's and 15 lbs. lighter than the Toyo's

It looks like you already made your mind and have your answer :)

Sure others are running E, but that does not mean the ride quality is good. Like I said, I have ran all three load ranges both daily and on the trails.
If you only use your Bronco for trails go for it; hopefully you have beadlock or those method wheels so you can drop down the psi to almost 0 for better comfort. Otherwise as a daily driver, especially with long commutes, load range E gets tiring real fast. Like others have said, it’s designed for heavy trucks.

just my two cents. Hopefully you find the best tires for ya! Cheers

I researched and found that I wanted a 13.5 wide tire and not a 12.5. Had it narrowed down the Toyo MT's, Nitto Trail Grapplers, KM3s and the Coopers.

Nittos are not made in a 37/13.5/17
Coopers are the least expensive by a wide margin and weigh only 84 lbs.
Toyo are E rated and 94 lbs
KM3's are E rated and 82 lbs

So, in the end I went with almost the lightest tire in an E rating since all 13.5's are an E rating. The KM3's are not true 37's either.

I drive in a small college town, roads are bad. No highway driving. Figured the E would be OK.

No experience on my Bronco yet, but I convinced myself I needed E range on my 4runner for dealing with desert wheeling situations assuming I would be less prone to getting a flat. Long story short when I decided to go back to a XL load Duratrac after running through an AT3W and a Geolander AT-X in E load I realized how much better the lower range tire was for day to day liveability.

I plan on sticking with C or D on my Bronco.

Toyo OC ATIII's are likely the lightest high-quality tires in that size... Their tread pattern in that size is also more aggressive than what is commonly pictured in ads...
