I was notified by Ford yesterday, that my Bronco was indeed built and sitting on the ground in Michigan. I was also told it was only an appearance issue and not a safety issue. This being the case, why in the world don't they just ship them and replace the tops when available. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would prefer this.

1) They don’t want any more out there with shitty looking tops.
2) Potential class action suit if they knowingly shipped defective roofs despite no ‘safety’ issue.
3) Cost required to ship thousands of roofs to dealers. Significant disruption to dealers that must pick up a vehicle, change the top and redeliver.

If they’d let me switch to a soft top on my built bronco that is sitting in the holding area, I’d do it in a heartbeat. Even though I never wanted a soft top, I want my bronco before winter.

I understand what you are saying but: Reason to ship now and fix later, CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
