I am just curious how many of us prior to 8/2 till current who are stuck "In production" and have soft tops. I am racking my brain trying to make sense of any reason for a delay.

Important to note, the shortage of materials 2.7, bumper, etc came out on or after 8/2.

But.... personally I've seen folks with 8/3 and later be built. So

one reason could be that 800K people in Michigan are without power after a couple days of bad storms this week.

Doesn't make sense for long overdue shipments, but 8/2 build weeks could probably see schedule shippings being delays to the area.

My soft-top was built on 8/5, and I still haven’t gotten a “built” or “shipped” email yet.

I am a 7/19 build 4dr OBX with soft top and I remain “in production”. My dealer told me my build was released but no built or shipped emails so I really have no idea where by Bronco is right now.

tracking Changed to In production on 8/5 and it hasn't changed to built yet. I ordered a base with 2.7 and absolutely nothing else. I don’t understand the delay, maybe it’s the engine size

That's where I'm confused. All the news that was released points to the hardtop. So is this an early warning for another oops by Ford? Which we will find out a month later?

I hope not - but also do not think so. We have seen a lot of soft tops get delivered. There are 3-4 other builds with me from the 7/19 week that have build confirmed but no shipping yet. Frustrating for all of us but the majority of soft tops were shipped and delivered so if there was a broader issue I would expect a higher percentage of builds to be in a purgatory status. Frustrating though.

I doubt it, that's catastrophizing, my hunch is that after this hard top fiasco they are taking their time and making sure both the vehicles and their tops are solid. Seems like the most likely conclusion.

So it's safe to assume most of us are affected by the chip shortage
