Labor Day adventure. Left Portland Thursday afternoon and camped out just past Bend in Dry Creek. Nice spot off the road. The next day met up with more of the crew at Fields Station near Alvord Desert. I literally put my finger on the map in the middle of the lake bed and that’s where we ended up. We may or may not have done some high speed runs the next day. Then off to the Owhyee area. I can see why people don’t want to talk about Three Finger Gulch. Unbelievable. And an awesome challenging road down there. Sunday we explored more of the area including Steamboat Ridge. A fantastic climb from the north side and then over to Leslie Gulch. Which is also stunning. But it was stinking hot down there and too many people so then up north to Succor Creek which is just amazing. We found the perfect camp spot north of the campground right next to the creek. Was greeted this morning with lightning, followed by thunder and rain. Threw everything into the rigs and hightailed it out of there. So many beautiful places in Oregon to explore! I have tons of footage to gather and put together.
