Broncos Invade Eastern Oregon

Steens are incredible country also. Did a trip up from NV through there to French Glen, then John Day area and up through JD North Fork area to attend a wedding in Ritter. Incredible country. Sad to hear of all the fires this year, incl that new one outside of Bend.

A coupe of the guys (@ArtHughes and @WillRCTID) got in early and explored the Steens, maybe they have a picture or two to share. They do have video.

While we saw a lot of smokey haze in the horizon it didn’t affect seeing the Milky Way at night or smell during the day. Somehow it avoided us.

That's also the area where my fuel pump decided to go out to pasture.

We saw several horses including a mare and her foal. And cows... But surprisingly little other life. Maybe one lizard and a rattlesnake.
