My New Year's resolutions include no food under the hood. I have had my share of varmints eating wiring and ac insulation I don't plan on giving them additional reasons to eat parts of my vehicles.

Lol. Just had to go lay some smack down on the red squirrels over the weekend. Little bastards ate through a wiring harness on one of our new trucks (Colorado). Should be clear for a couple months til a new family of them shows up. Man they can get annoying and expensive. $926 for that harness they ate.

Can do the same with a double wrap in Alum. foil, and place on or near the manifold. This was done back in the 70's. 1970's.

a Temp sensor, gauge and a cable controlled vent (or even perhaps electronic temperature control for the oven) would be perfect.. also a way to bleed off excess grease safely

I remember my '90 Chevy had the storage lunchbox under the hood. It was a great spot to keep a meatball sub or a couple cheeseburgers when hitting the trails...
