If you would like to relocate your front license plate and have a capable bumper I have an alternative thanks to forum member Shotsy. This bracket attaches using the torx plus 30 bit in the bronco tool kit (it’s in the glove box labeled IP30). Instructions will be included with the bracket as well as all hardware needed to install. The bracket is painted aluminum on both sides and all fasteners are coated for corrosion resistance. The bracket is 50 state legal for height regulation.

Ignorant question: When you say "attaches using the torx plus 30 bit in the bronco tool kit" you're not saying that there are bolts there on the bumper already that we use, correct? Reason I ask is I took a look at my bumper (capable bumper, '22 Black Diamond) and don't see any bolts there. You're talking about additional brackets that are included that happen to use the same Torx bit that the Bronco tool kit already has?

Sorry for the dumb question, just want to be crystal clear before ordering.

Walt designed the bracket to essentially "pinch" the capable bumper so that there is no drilling needed and can be removed easily. You're correct that the additional brackets are included and the Bronco tool kit can be used on the selected hardware.

I've had mine on for 5 months and it's rock solid!

Thanks Walt for meeting up with me with my unusual bumper. Maybe ford has 2 different versions or maybe certain number of capable bumpers got built different. Walt made adjustments and it fits much better. The lip of where the bracket holds on is smaller than most capable bumpers that Walt has run across. Glad you were in the area for the help!

There are 2 bolts included with my bracket that tighten with the torx plus 30 bits included in each bronco tool kit. Those bolts tighten “clamps” to attach the bracket. So for $42 and 2 minutes of your time you’ll have a no drill front license plate bracket.
