Cheap muffler delete 2.3

BottleShark; thanjs for the inspiration. Heard yours and did the same thing. Sounds great and less than 100 bucks all in.

I was looking for a way to delete the muffler without it sounding terrible (like some companies straight pipes). So I ordered a ordered this resonator

Then had my local muffler guy weld up some pipe and a mount. Sounds SOOO good under load and doesn’t drone at all. I really don’t even notice it on highway. The pops only do that on cold start or when downshifting. They aren’t as noticeable once the engine warms up. But the kid in me LOVES to pops and cracks.

Hey i wanna try and do the same thing, I ordered the part and im curious about where its meant to be welded (exactly where the muffler was?) and anything you think I should tell my muffler guy to get the same result.

It wasn't complicated at all. If you have a muffler guy, he'll know what to do. I did mine myself with a piece of pipe and some clamps from the parts store. Super easy. Just make sure you don't leave it too short. If you have the base plastic bumper, a too short pipe will turn it into a melted puddle on the asphalt...ask me how I know.
