My Bronco was shipped via rail on BNSF and has been making steady progress that I’ve been able to track using the CSX phone number with no issues until today. This morning it departed Essex, MT and now 12 hours later it’s the same status update when I call in. Does the tracker just stop working at times or has the train really not passed any stations in 12+ hours?

My guess would be that it hasn't passed any reporting points.

Sometimes I had the same status for 1.5-2 days. When a train enters a rail yard, the guys in the yard have to take what train cars they need to stay or get re-routed, and then put the original train back together. It can take some time sometimes, especially at bigger yards.

Thank you @Kos and @Bonnie6G for the insight. It’s giving me the same update for the last 24 hours. I’m confident that it has passed another station in that time. It’s probably at a yard getting sorted out.
