Sounds like you have a solid plan to me .... getting to spend the summer doing what you want to with the Jeep and getting EXACTLY what you want in the 23 Bronco when it's ready ... you will have a solid trade and you wont miss a beat

Get the Rubi and if the Bronco is still calling you after a year sell it or trade it to get a Bronco if you can swing it. You’d lose a few thousand driving it for a year but they hold their value like crazy. Enjoy yourself while you can

You only get so many Summers and an unknown number of them to boot. Nobody will flame you for doing what is right for you. Ford appears to be trying to keep people from jumping ship with future promises, but they haven't kept a single original date or promised estimate for delivery yet. Bird in the hand is worth two in the bush...
This. How many summers in life does one have? How many with family and friends? Kids grow up, stuff happens. I'm definitely NOT in the waiting around camp. Seen too many sad things happen this last year to some people I knew.

While I'm fortunate to have many prior summers of open top/off road fun with my older 4x4s in the "memory bank", this summer came to a head with some mechanical issues, and no Bronco in sight. So we ended up taking our summer trip to Colorado - in our Kia Soul! Obviously no off-road exploring in that thing, lol.

I love what I've seen of the actual Bronco so far, including finally seeing in-person and riding in a 2-door last week. Hope it's eventually a raging success for Ford and harbinger of open top 4x4 revival over vanilla SUVs. Ford deserves a lot of credit for having the stones to offer a vehicle like this. But, I won't have a repeat and miss summer of 2022 off-road fun waiting around for Bronco.

So I'd say to the OP, do what you got to do, live life and have fun, sooner rather than later.

Appreciate all the feed back from everyone. A lot of good perspective which essentially reflects my same thoughts and emotions.

I’ll update later tonight after I head back to the Jeep dealer.
