I had dog dish hubcaps / green steelies on my green 74 Nova. If I remember correctly, the steelies had clips on them that held the dog dish hubcaps in place.

I've been looking at Detroit Steel Wheel, mobsteel.com. I've emailed back and forth with their sales dept, but it doesn't look like they are making steelies smaller than 18" for a while.

Here's a snapshot of their 2020 catalog that references how they tap and install clips on steelies to fit dog dish hubcaps.

I'm still looking to do something like this, but haven't found anything. It would be great if Ford did it for 2022.

I love the idea. I hope we can figure something out. Maybe the aftermarket will turn out something.

It's gotta be the black steelies. That last picture looks okay though.

The problem with these particular steel wheels is the silver ones really show off the holes in the wheel. Which then takes away from the dog dish.

Just a plain chrome one looks best.
agreed - the holes on the black steel wheels are less in your face...

I like that "F" dog dish, I'll see if I can find a straight on pic and photoshop it.

I think I may have been swayed by old school wagon wheels; these are what was on my 1978 Chevy 4x4 - they take me back for sure!!

Seafoam green with white wheels and top! I like it! (y)

(I do wish those whites matched a bit better though.)

I just received 17" black steelies from Detroit Tire and Wheel, used the OEM Ranger part number, it matches the Black Diamond #

Not sure if it's cool to offer these here so I guess I'll find out if it gets deleted..... I have a set of 5 of these modified stock 16" available if anyone is interested? Only mounted for photo shoot so less than 50 miles on them.

Specs:
285/75r-16
Kumho Road Venture All Terrain AT51
(3 Peak Snow Rated)
$1500 for the set of 5
factory TPMS sensors are included

I'll be happy to post a run down on how these were modified and sourced. (bit of a pain in the butt and time consuming but they come out good)

Cheers

These look great! One question. How are the center caps attached? Did you have to modify them or are they a direct fit from something else? If so, what are they from?
Thanks! I am going for a very similar look and have found that chrome caps from older Rangers or Bronco II fit the center section of the base wheels perfectly. I'm just trying to figure out how to attach them.
