Agreed! My Challenger had this function and the frameless windows worked flawlessly for the 8 years I had it. The windows also didn't wobble and were quite sturdy, to boot.

The removal of the auto-down from the remote sucks! That was a great feature on a hot day.
Pardon the ignorance sinbce I don't own one of the trucks. Are you talking about global open/close? That should should be a simple config change that can be flipped back on with FORScan, no?

no, that's different.

The frameless windows are supposed to drop a very little bit away from the top seals,, when the door knows you want to open it. Unlock from fob, touch/pull the handle, etc.

My brand new 23 OBX does this, but apparently Ford is busy programming that functionality out.

Yea, I understand what this update does after following this and the other thread. I work for a JLR dealer now and the F-Type has frameless doors and does that as well as the Maserati product and few other vehicles we sell/service. From the context of his post, I assume he meant he wants to roll the windows down with the remote on a hot day.

Edit: Just saw that enabling global open/close is on the common tab of the FORScan spreadsheet here. So if that is his issue, the fix is there.

FYI, I have a 2023 Braptor. The up-hold-down-hold (repeat 3 times) fix worked for me. I do not know if it matters but I used the back seat switch and I did it with the door open.

Good luck all

Anyone else get this message or update?

After I received the update on my '23 OBX I noticed that certain windows were not closing all the way. I would have an issue where the window would drop slightly but not return up. Also, I noticed that when I opened the doors, the windows would not always drop which required me to manually push the edge of the window under the seal from time to time. When I took it in for service, they found some outdated module firmware and applied article SSM 52479 ( 2021 Bronco ). Windows seem to work fine now.
