Fenders

So im curious, new to Broncos , have a nice 23 Black Diamond with the Sas package… Not real impressed with the fenders, but ok if your gonna wheel it, ez to replace . This morning i pull up behind a Raptor, was looking it over waiting for the $)!& light, Woa! Those fenders are part of the body? So Ford if your intentions were to make a all out weekend off roader why not use the cheapo fenders like mine??? Or is it only a desert type build? BTW a tiny bit wider then my Taco for some Woods trails

why? I have owned several built rigs, the Raptor is nice, but I have no use for the difference in features , especially for the cost, My last rig, built by me with what i wanted , gears, suspension for woods and trails, armor, engine mods etc...not much desert in the NE..LOL...

Way back, Ford showed a Concept Bronco at SEMA with what they referred to as 'Weekender Fender Flares' that were flush with the Body. I'm still waiting on someone to come up with an easily removable Fender Flare like that. Then I'd have my SAS flares for compliance and the Weekender flares for that look/functionality.
