After seeing the placement of the front license plate ford came up with I decided there had to be a better solution. Thanks to Tor148 and his new Bronco I have some prototype photos to show the forum. Also want to thank redone17 and Gangstead for helping in development. Thanks to Shotsy for helping develop the capable bumper bracket.

MODULAR/ STANDARD BUMPER

This is a bolt on aluminum bracket for the MOD bumper using 3 existing bolts. The bracket can be mounted with the outside 2 bolts for quick removal. The plastic bumper will require drilling and additional fasteners. Meets all states requiring the plate be 14” from the ground.

CAPABLE BUMPER

This capable bumper bracket attaches using the torx plus 30 bit in the bronco tool kit (it’s in the glove box labeled IP30). Instructions will be included with the bracket as well as all hardware needed to install. The bracket is painted aluminum on both sides and all fasteners are coated for corrosion resistance. The bracket is 50 state legal for height regulation.

I would recommend a trip to South Dakota in your bronco to see the badlands and the black hills. There’s a weeks worth of trails to ride on that have great scenery, wildlife and areas to explore. Lots of good local restaurants and breweries to enjoy as well.

Yup, it's beautiful. But keep in mind that the buffalo are in the middle of the annual buffalo rut. I've ridden my motorcycle through Custer State Park many times. Each year bikers are knocked off their scoots because they got too close or "challenged" a bull. Even encounters with cows can be fatal. A few years ago a woman thought it would be fun to feed a cow. Cows have horns. The cow dipped its head and gored the lady. After weeks in Intensive Care, she passed. Appreciate the wildlife from a safe distance - but get up there before the snow flies.

No choice in CA. My plan is to run with no plate until I get pulled over but want to have the bracket on hand when that happens.

Maybe run an automated drop down plate and connect it to an accessory switch lol
