Hello,

Purchased my first Bronco. 2025 Big Bend in July 2025. Have done some minor things to it but finally put K02s on it with black rims.

Ditch lights and possible brush guard of some sort will be next I think.

Love the forum. The posts are great

Welcome to the Forum! One of my favorite things about my Bronco is the ability to change it, add things to make it mine. Nothing worse than a poor Bronco then it’s owner doing nothing to it and leaving it bone stock, no matter the trim

It’s funny, but I feel close to the opposite. I bought a fairly loaded machine, and it’s extremely capable out of the box. There are a few small additions that would make my rig even more loaded (lights, a rack) and a couple of small, additional pieces of trail armor that might be smart (rear lca and shock mount protectors), but they’re not critical to my life on the Utah trails. Stock is just fine if that’s what suits your needs.

I think we’re all here because Ford actually did a very good job with the overall aesthetics of the Bronco line. It’s a modern classic IMHO. This vehicle looks good and performs well, mods or not. It all depends on how hard you want to beat it up, and at what hour of the day. Lights look cool, but good ones are pricey and I’m very rarely out on trails after dark. Racks also look tough, but I’m keen to get better at packing as little stuff as possible. I don’t need much for camp comfort, and I’m not crossing the Serengeti.

It’s always tempting, but I can usually think of other ways to spend a few hundred (or a couple thousand) dollars than on my almost stock but fairly burly 2DR rig. A satellite communicator is my next purchase. I like a stealth mode Bronco, and I don’t need to have a “hey, look at me vehicle”—or I would have bought a Stroppe. 😎

I'm on the same page as HalfmuleFarme. I bought my Badlands specifically so I wouldn't have to spend a lot of money modifying it. This may come as a shock to many people, but stock parts are pretty good. I've added a rack, some internal storage and lights. I have not replaced anything that came from the factory. I knew what I'd be doing with my Bronco before I bought it, and bought accordingly.

I bought transportation over a specific type of terrain and a daily driver. I didn't buy my Bronco so I could turn it into a hobby.

I bought a Badlands Sasquatch, I wanted the most capable from the factory, no desire for a Raptor. My meaning about mods is how easy it is and the many choices that we have. I see many Broncos that have zero done to them when just a few additional items makes the Broncos so much better. I have zero plans for larger tires, aftermarket wheels, exhaust, suspension or engine modifications, other people have at it. I enjoy my Bronco and adding to it to make it more useful on the hunt lease, and the trips that I will take with it

But it can be a GREAT hobby. 🤣
I feel that one of the best parts of bronco ownership can be the community.
I have not done much to mine.
A few stickers, seat covers, shifter, coilovers, and rear seat delete.
And it has taken me anywhere I have tried to go... Which it would have done anyway off the showroom floor.
But going to events, shows, rides... I get to see the good in people.
And as a person that can't stand being around people normally... That means a lot.

I agree that it can be a great hobby. I have issue with glashaus's comment comments about what other Bronco owners should do. To each their own.

He's free to do what he wants to his Bronco. But he's out of place when saying everyone should modify theirs just because he likes to modify his. He gives no solid reason.

"I see many Broncos that have zero done to them when just a few additional items makes the Broncos so much better."

Better in what way and for what use? Maybe a stock Bronco is "best" for a particular individual. That's not for glashaus to decide.

I enjoy seeing what others have done to their Broncos, and have gained some good ideas. But I'm content to allow them to decide what works for them, even if it's leaving it stock.
