Got a FE reserved. Exchanged emails with the dealership Ford chose for me (Randal Reed Ford) and they assured me that they will only charge MSRP. That’s a relief.

I’m not 100% sure I’ll end up pulling the trigger on the FE when the time comes. The lack of power top option may be a deal killer for me. (I have the sky one-touch in my JL and it’s life changing) If I do, I’d struggle to pick a color I think. Maybe go bold and pick orange? Shame they didn’t offer the FE in an exclusive color.

Question: Other than the orange, are there any other FE colors that have been seen in the wild? Is that light greenish one they’ve show Cactus Grey?

From what I have seen Orange and Cactus grey in the wild. Hoping the cactus looks as good as it does in pic in person. Might wrap it eventually.

I wonder if Ford oversold and they are hoping most people will change their minds on the FE. This would make sense on why they not giving us the option to switch dealers yet?

or they will offer the option and make more FEs to hit demand? Which makes most sense if they have the materials

I will go orange.

edit: and maybe wrap it in matte PPF like my Model Y. Or non-matte to keep it more stock looking since it is a special edition...

Matte will be a solid look on these trucks. Especially if you keep the decals glossy on the hood and side panels.

that’s more than likely my move . Matte Sand and glossy FE decals.

Main reason, keep integrity of original FE paint and it’ll look badass

I reserved a First Edition and overjoyed with my decision. I have read a lot about the cost, which is high, and seen a lot of people assuming that if you want a FE you are a soccer mom/mall cruiser and that it will never see dirt. Yes, it is not cheap. But there will only be 3500 of them, so a little more for something unique is okay by me. Also, like others, I would option any other choice anyway. My experience has been that by the end of the day, it is often cheaper to get it built that way. Lastly, no road warrior for me. I am no rock-hopper, but fire roads, trails, dunes, etc. is where my FX4 plays and so will the Bronco. I bought it to drive and to explore, not to sit in a garage and show off to friends. Mine will be Area 51 or Cactus Grey, so see you on the trail!

I am thinking of putting XPEL Stealth on my Bronco. Gives it the matte look I like wile protecting the paint from my offroad adventures.

Some speculation here, but some things that i think will be unique to First Edition
  • Those two additional unidentified paint codes?
  • Seat Trims - Two kinds of seat trims?
  • Tops
  • Flares
  • Bumper
  • Graphics Package , "First Edition Hood and Bodyside Graphic" ,but there appears to be a separate package, maybe some other body part?
  • And something to do with outlets and power

I reserved a FE 4 door. Probably going with Area 51. I'm pretty sure that greenish tint in Cactus Gray would grow old to me in about 6 months.
I contacted my dealer this morning via email asking if I would be able to use my employee A-Plan, and was told " As far as we know, yes. "
If it turns out that I can't, I will likely downgrade.

@BroncoHooves i tweeted at Mike multiple times... maybe it'll be something like the 'manual Sasquatch' where if enough issue is expressed, we can get it changed.

id like to think the voice of (at least) 2 of 3500 matters ??

@SilverII the FE has all the best possible upgrades you can add to a Bronco. The wildtrack is pretty much an FE without all the bells and whistles.
Not certain, but I think one difference is the stabilizer bar disconnect. That's on the badlands and the FE uses the mechanicals of the badlands. I don't see it listed on the Wildtrak.

I think you are right. Again, the wild track is the best you can get if the FE was not an option.

I put a second reservation in for a Badlands. Once the details come out I can choose between the two. I also wanted a backup because the first dealer for the FE won't tell me if they will put on ADM.
I did exactly the same thing. Reserved a Badlands after finding out some of the 'lack of choices' with the FE.

Do we know WHEN the FE reservations were sold out?

I got my FE reservation in at 10:15pm EST on Monday. Tuesday morning at 8:15am I noticed it was sold out.
