Has anyone seen, or know anything about the romoveable hoop step ford shows on build and price? i want some side steps but do these fit their normal rock rail? Im sure some aftermarket ones ive seen are no doubt nicer but i like factory items many times??? Thoughts?

It's not clearly written, but the Ford hoop steps replace the rock rails.

My suggestion (as someone who has them and actually likes them) is to not get them. There are plenty of similar aftermarket steps that cost only slightly more and mount directly to the rock rails.

One thing I will say, the length of the Ford steps is great. Some of the aftermarket ones have a much shorter platform (front to back) that can be harder to step on. The Ford set will easily fit your entire boot if you want it to.

Does the factory Hoop step work with the gatorback mud flaps? I don’t have my rig yet, so I don’t know if the bar that the hoop step mounts to is the same shape as the rock rail or if it even protrudes into the front wheel well. Any advice on which Gatorbacks to order?

Correct. They have their own rail that covers the pinch weld. They are not meant to support the same weight as the factory rock rails.
I have a Bronco that should be ready in March or April and it will have the removable hoop step option. Does this mean I won’t really need to get pinch weld covers because the rail that is included covers up that area pretty well?

Definitely. If you google "Bronco Removable Hoop Steps" you'll see some photos. They do a great job of covering that area up.

Of course, I just want to emphasize that the hoop step option means you won't get rock rails (even if your trim comes with them). I bought a spare set of rock rails and can swap both sides in about 30 minutes if I want to have rock rails for off-roading.

Ok thanks. Where did you buy the rock rails from? Any good deals out there?
