Get rims that have a similar offset to what the stock wheels have? Or is switching the offset going to change much?

I have a 2 door badlands sasquatch, And in the near future I'm going to want to order some new rims for it. I don't know a lot about wheels and tires, so should I try to get some rims that have a similar offset to what the stock wheels have? Or is switching the offset going to change much?

Think they are +55.
I found that the sasquatch package is +35, so if I got something with a +17 offset, is it going to be a huge difference when I'm driving it?

The vast majority of guys running aftermarket wheels with the SAS are 17x8.5 with a 0 (zero) offset without any issues. Stock tire sizes as well won't rub and will give it a more aggressive stance.

Awesome. Is going down to +17mm from 30 going to be a huge difference?

Awesome. I'm looking at a +17 offset and I don't think it will end up rubbing

SAS oem wheels specs are as follows:

- 17" diameter by 8.5" wide or 17x8.5
- +30 offset
- bolt pattern >> 6x139.7 >> this is important, if you get anything else it will not bolt on

Most guys are running 0 offset without any rubbing.

Most will ask about poke or how far will my wheels stick out. So if you run 0 offset you are poking out at 30mm >>> 30 - 0 = 30mm

30 mm is the same as 1.1811"

so if you are running +17 wheel that is 8.5" wide then you are poking out at 13mm >> 30-17 = 13

13 mm is the same 0.511811" >> you will not rub

I hope the above makes sense.

Makes perfect sense, thankk you! My next question for you is with that little bit of poke (whether it's 0mm or 17mm offset), will gravel be thrown at my bronco? I have front mudflaps on it now, and the SAS fender flares. Do you think it will be safe?

the less poke the better when it comes to avoiding throwing debris all over your bronco. So +30 is better than +17 and +17 is better than 0

I think +17 is fine. BTW .. +17 is an unusual offset for a bronco wheel. May I ask what wheel you are running that comes in +17?

I'm still on stock SAS rims haha, I was just looking at rims earlier and realized I was out of my depth, so I'm attempting to educate myself on the subject now lol

It also depends if you are staying with the 8.5" wide wheel or going to a 9" wide wheel. If you go to the 9" wide with the 17 offset it wills stick out almost a full inch over the stock wheel. You need to look at the combination of width plus offset/backspacing to figure out if it tucks in too far or sticks out too far.

I'm fine with sticking with the 8.5 inch wheel. I'll just have to find a different brand because I'm already tired of these gravel-chuckers 😅😂

Ha, it's not the wheels chucking the gravel, it's the tires. But there aren't too many wheels out there with the same stock offset so most will stick out some even at 8.5" wide which means more rocks getting thrown up. The stock wheels might be your best bet, just getting a different tread tire design will probably help.
