You guys are telling him to get FP tune as if it’s gonna make it as quick as a 392. The FP tune is honestly a joke as far at HP gained per $.

Naw 470 vs 455...just makes it closer. jeep 392 0-60 is 4.4 seconds on 35s or 4.0 seconds on the 33s, Go stuff some 37s under a 392 and it'll likely be right about the same quickness as the BRaptor. Yes the tire size changes the gearing that much!

Look at my signature. I have a real tune. 130rwhp gained on 93, 200rwhp gained on an E50 blend. The FP tune you’d be lucky to get 30rwhp I bet, but no one I know has wasted the time to put one on a dyno.

I always love it when someone posts tuned numbers on ethanol, kind of like if I was to say well around here it's always minus 15 degrees so that gives me an extra XXX horsepower...the nearest E gas around here is 50 miles away, ROFL. Others aren't even lucky enough to have it in their state.

My truck is brand new and I don’t want to mess with the warranty. Porsche denied a claim on my 911 because it was tuned.

That’s why I listed pump gas gains first. 130 vs 30 rwhp gained on pump gas is a gap as big as the Grand Canyon.

The 392 is a superior road vehicle if the slightly smaller interior is ok with you compared to Bronco and the steering drift of the solid front axle isn’t too bad, but to be clear, while the Raptor is capable in the rocks, it is purpose-built to sustain highway speed over open Baja style desert terrain and to jump. The 392 simply cannot compete with Raptor in an ultra-high speed desert run (the Raptor suspension is the deal breaker for the 392) nor would it probably handle high jumps. Don’t get me wrong, the 392 sounds bad ass! No criticism here if the 392 makes you happier. It is a great vehicle and life is too short to drive something you don’t like. Good luck, sir!

Hmmm, also the Raptor also has better ground clearance, and approach AND departure angles than the 392! Despite loosing a bit of flex compared to a solid axle, it makes up a lot of that with lots of suspension travel and a disconnecting front sway bar. Of course the 37s help immensely as well.

I think in a crawling contest the Raptor just might edge out the 392.

The Raptor keeps getting pigeonholed as a high speed only rig, but it also excels in crawling.

And yet it's hp/$ remains way higher than any other mod out there...

Yep. I haven’t seen a single review (seen well over 20) where the journalist said the Jeep has better road manners. The Raptor always dominates both street and off-road reviews. Every single one of them picked the Raptor as the car they would have. Jeeps remind me of high school, so many girls drove them at my school.

Agreed, I’ve driven several Jeeps that were in for service at the Ford dealership I work for. (Dealer sold them used and they were in for service). I own a 23 Badlands that we have taken on a couple of extended road trips of 2,000 + miles. I can’t imagine any claim that a Jeep has better road manners.
