Hardtop to Softtop Conversion Help

Hey all,

I’m about to take off my hardtop for the first time and install the softtop.
Pretty sure I have all the correct hardware now to do so.
I am trying to find a video or some sort of directions on how and where to put all these brackets.
Does anyone have a video or step by step with photos that could help me?

Also a word of encouragement.

The softtop swap is a bit tedious the first time. Take the time to get all the brackets lined up. And get a buddy - that soft top is awkward to carry around, and it's easy to ding the crap out of your C-pillars. It's not that it's overly heavy, it's just awkward as all get out, and you will probably have to set it and pull it a few times to get the bracket aligned right.

Then, once you have all the brackets set and it opens and closes well - you never have to do that part again.

It's just 6 bolts in the back that hold the top on to remove or install it. It's still a bit awkward to handle, but it's not difficult. Two people can swap between the hard and soft top in an easy hour and a half.

It's super nice to have in the summer, and riding around Safari mode is my favorite when the weather is nice.

I switched from hard top to soft top by myself. I did scratch the paint on two locations. I'm a big guy, I wish I waited for a second hand. Don't be like me, get a second set of hands.

- the brackets which install into the trunk area. These should be as far forward (towards front of vehicle) as they can go but still being able to insert the bottom bolt. The first attempt at installing, I didn't have them far enough forward. The front of the soft top would not drop into the holes where the front latches. Instead of getting help, and lifting the entire top off the back of my bronco, I lifted one side at a time to move those brackets forward. This is how I got my second scratch. If you need to adjust those brackets, remove the entire softtop and adjust the brackets, then put it back on. Do not try to lift the side just enough to access the brackets....
