Sorry if this is redundant. I did a search but didn’t find an answer.

I changed dealers in March resulting in a cancelled order from March but still haven’t received my $100 deposit back. I’ve contacted Ford and the dealership and neither seem willing to help. Anyone have any luck with any other methods?

Mine happened automatically. Showed as a $100 line item on my credit card statement. Deposit went to the original dealer, Ford just handled the transaction.

Refund should come from Ford. I changed dealers and got the 100 back from ford right away. I would think that Ford is going to have to make it right.

Do you no longer have the credit card that the deposit was originally put on?
In the past, that was the issue with the refund not working.

If you still have the original credit card, and since it is less than 90 days, you could just dispute the charge with your credit card company

The dealership has your money. A call to the GM if someone is giving you the runaround should help.

If it doesn't...well, I'd think Ford would want to know a dealer general manager is endorsing stealing from a customer.

Still have the card. That may be what I end up doing.

The agent at Ford didn’t seem to care. The agents went from very helpful through this whole process until today when two of them said there was nothing they could do.

Have you talked to the GM at the dealership? I'm curious what the dealership says about it.

And what was given as the reason they wouldn't give a refund?
That I have to go through Ford because the reservation was converted to an order.

So, the order was not cancelled but converted? Did you create a new reservation at another dealership and have Ford retroactively apply your original timestamp?

Yes. Had to put a new deposit down at the new dealership. The old order says cancelled.

Did you receive the gift box from Ford with die-cast models, the gift card for $100 and the apology note for the ordering experience?
