Hello, I’m Joe from Cape May NJ. I’ve been putting off joining this forum for over a year and a half, since I hadn’t actually taken delivery of my new Bronco yet. Infact, I still haven’t gotten it, but I finally got my “scheduled for production” email about a week ago, and the idea of actually getting my Bronco within a couple months (hopefully) has me pretty excited.
I’ve driven a 1995 XLT 5.8l Bronco from 2002-2016, when I parked her in favor of something a bit better on gas. Nothing I’ve driven since has been as satisfying as my old, underpowered gas chugging baby. I even sometimes miss being annoyed at the way the spare tire would come loose and rattle like hell (for weeks sometimes), until I would finally tighten it down for the thousandth time.
I’m pretty stoked about getting our new one though. We ordered a pretty modest Eruption Green 4dr Big Bend, 2.7 with the 4.27 gears/locker, Mid Package, tow kit, sand stone interior, signature lights, switches and hard top. It was hard to lay off the Sasquatch, but my wife will be the primary driver, and with 2 girls under 4 years old…better keep it low for now.
I hope we to come to love this new Bronco as much as our original, and I’m looking forward to stealing everybody’s cool ideas in regards to upgrades and places to explore.
