Installed a Gentex 453 mirror with Homelink and auto dim. $50 off eBay, less than 30 minute install and looks totally stock. (Sorry for the poor pics, crappy day in NC today)

Is it battery powered like the Toyota option or wired in?

I bought a Gentex 453 mirror with auto dim/Homelink off eBay for $50. You can also find them with a compass. It came with the plug and wires labeled. It’s off a Nissan Altima and only has 3 wires, 2 + and one -. Unplug your mirror and remove with a t25 torx. The new mirror fits right onto the existing windshield mount. I cut the bronco mirror plug and soldered the new plug. I put both Homelink and auto dim wires to the existing keyed power wire, heat shrunk and covered with the existing wire loom. Plug it in, program the Homelink to your garage door or gate and done. Looks like it came that way from the factory. Took me less than 30 minutes total.

@Rick28078, Thanks. Just installed this and it's a breeze. 2023 Badlands with an ebay donor from a "2003-2005 Nissan". The donor had an unlabeled harness which I found a diagram for. Center (black) was ground. Black with red stripe was battery and black with yellow was switched power. As you did, I also tie both positives together. I measured the Ford harness white wire with 0.5v without the key on, 12v with key on. Don't know what the green wire was. Black with blue stripe was zero ohms so I assumed a good ground. Only difference I found was t-15 not t-25.
