Today I noticed setting my heating controls to auto was resulting in no warmth. I turned the temp up more and up and finally started to get heat. That was the first weird thing. The second thing I noticed is that what usually lists the outdoor temperature on the dash was listing bizarre high temps. It's 18F here and it was ramping up from 70 to 150F. Eventually it went to a double dash --. I also noticed the cooling fans running in the engine bay, which really shouldn't be. If I turn the HVAC controls to max temp, it will pump out heat. I checked the coolant tank and fluids are where they should be. Squeezing on coolant hoses produced pressure and liquid movement in the tank. I don't see any obvious leaks or reasons for an air bubble. My brain is imagining some temp sensor that measures outside and inside air has faulted. Can't explain the cooling fan running while driving in freezing weather. Maybe the same temp sensor? Shutting the vehicle off and on did not change things.
I believe unrelated, the third thing that happened (later) was a warning about cleaning off the sensors up front. Collision avoidance was disabled, no front trail cam (don't have one) etc. It was a heavy snow at the time and then cleared up after happening 3 times.
Anyone experience anything like this? Love that I'm just past my warranty.
Thanks in advance
