Hey all,

Long time listener, first time caller. Just picked up my new 2 Door Badlands last week and getting into a few things with it.

I have the Capable front bumper, and had bought the Turn Offroad winch mount for it thinking it would just bolt on. Well after fighting with it all afternoon I gave up as I couldn't see any way to get it to work without some serious work with an angle grinder, which I wasn't too keen on doing with my new 50k rig.

So, I am now looking at the JCR Winch mount that they have that states it will work with the capable bumper. I haven't been able to find much on this aside from a few short YouTube videos so just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with this setup and if it truly is a bolt on experience. I think I read that I would have to trim the plastic trim pieces where the bolts for the bumper attach to the frame, but aside from that is there no additional trimming or anything that needs to happen with the bumper to get it to work?

It does work, had to dremel the plastic pieces a bit like you mentioned but not bad at all. Also recommend reaching out to IAG for their parking sensor extension harnesses, they will sell separate from their kit, so you don’t have to splice the factory harness cables JCR says in their instructions. I put the part number in another thread on here I’d have to find.

Our HD winch mount comes with the harness extensions for the sensors and camera, along with a camera relocation. Ours requires the same modifications to the plastic covers as all the others.

I have the JcrOffroad winch basket on my capable bumper and it works well and is well made. Installation was not hard. I made life easier by ordering the two of the Rough Country Proximity Sensor Extension Item #947000011

Awesome, appreciate the feedback everyone! Luckily, I dont have the front camera/parking sensors so no need for any additional accessories.

Going to pull the trigger on the JCR, I've had good luck with them in the past on other rigs.

I'm guessing you already have a winch? If not the OEM kit for $800(?) that includes a $1100 Warn Zeon winch seems like the way to go.
