I’m want a winch on my Badlands, but it has a capable bumper, and I’m not seeing any solutions.

Does anyone know of a winch mount solution for this bumper?

many thanks, Bill

Capable and Mod Bumper utilize the same front bash plate so that adds up.

This looks like a really good way to add a winch without dealing with any BS regarding the front camera or ACC sensor.
Only issue is they are a bit more difficult to access so it depends on your use case.

Also be sure to check its compatible with your engine size. The 2.3’s generally tend to work better, whereas some give conflicts with the intercooler with the 2.7.

Another consideration is this. Shows mod bumper in most photos but works on capable. Biggest drawback is it sticks out so obviously changes angles when wheeling.

I have the JCR winch mount. I was looking at the RC hidden mount at first.

I went with the JCR because of where I go off roading. Along with the instal. If you have a 2.7 engine, the hidden winch requires you to move an intercooler and a few lines. The JCR requires you to cut the plastic piece that covers the bolts.

After a lot of research, I went with JCR as well with a Badland 12K winch. ‘22 Badlands, 2.7, SAS and LUX. I just had to trim the plastic covers slightly and extended the sensor wires.

Thanks, High Velocity! I like the look! Your setup looks great. Does $700 sound expensive for a winch mount?

Educate me on why you opted for this solution vs. buying an after-market bumper that may have had a winch plate included? I just want to learn!
I got mine on sale for around $550, however I would have paid full price if that were the only option.

I don't like aftermarket bumpers, especially anything that would be around the same cost of this. I find them cumbersome, unnecessary and mostly unsightly. I'm not a hard-core rock crawler though, so I don't get the value out of them as some others do.

I prefer to patronize small, US manufacturers that put out consistently good products. JCR fits that.

The winch plate fits great, is built extremely well and I feel it can take a frontal impact much better than some of the other options presented here.

Good looking rig and nice pic overall.

When I zoomed in to look at your winch mount it looks like there may be rust developing. Is that the case, or rust colored mud?
