I like the round one that came with the Twisted Shifterz adapter, but this knob from Johnnylawmotorsonline is pretty cool. Easy enough to switch out if needed. Both are good quality. Wanted to share if you all were considering an aftermarket knob. The extra height and weight gives a better feel when shifting. Adapter is stainless steel.

Nice! I just installed a Twisted shifters Stainless steel ball shifter on mine and love it! I'll take a pic after work. Now I'm thinking of getting different ones and swapping them out every now and then!

I was eyeing their stainless steel one as well. Very easy to swap out. FYI if going for another brand, thread size M16-1.50 will fit the Twisted Shifterz adapter.

Where did you install the retainer pin on the adapter? Left side or right side of the shifter? Mine won't stay tight and keeps popping off

You have to align the set screw on the adapter with the flat portion of the lever and secure the adapter with the original 3mm retaining bolt. With the retaining bolt in place, it should be impossible to pull off the adapter. The set scew on the adapter prevents the adapter from twisting.

BTW, if you’re from the future and reading this because you want to change knobs but you used too much blue loctite so now the adapter (and OEM retainer bolt) is stuck in the shifter knob and you need a new retainer bolt in a pinch; a M5-.8 x 12mm works.

Long story short, the set screw on the adapter gave way and snapped before the provided blue loctite did. So now it’s back to the original shift knob until a new adapter and set screw arrive.

I think I’ll use a jam nut this next time instead of loctite. I wonder when and why Twisted Shifterz changed from the jam nut to loctite.
